Ten on Tuesday.

Ok. Brew? Check. No kids? Check.Cadburys Flake? Check. Ten on Tuesday..Lets go..

1.I cannot for the life in me get the Hotdog song out of my head. All day.Hotdog hotdog hot diggedy dog.

2.Me and the kids went to Eureka today, the infamous kids museum. Its brilliant.I already knew this as i went as a kid.Its strange going back somewhere that you went as a child with your own kids. There's this pressure that you want them to love it as much as you do.

3.Mr 3 has started calling people 'my little kite flyer'.I know this sounds weird.Well it is really. For example i asked him to pick some pegs up off the floor(the same pegs that the baby is obsessed with and as soon as the cupboard is open he whips them out, causing havoc around the kitchen floor, and although its pretty deadly at moments if you slip on one,It sure does keep that baby quiet!) he replied "OK my little kite flyer". As I'd heard him say this a few times to the baby today i asked my OH did he know where Mr 3 had got it from.He had no idea.So i asked the boy himself where he had got 'my little kite flyer' from, which he replied 'my heart'.Cue my heart melting.

4.One thing Mr 3 has always said to the baby is "I always love you George". We think this is pretty darn cute.

5.Saturday night we had a night off.Oh yeah a night off the kids. An fundraising event for a charity called One in a million.Champagne reception,Three course meal,Champagne, hotel for the night,Champagne. It was bliss. We had an absolute ball.I couldn't help thinking tho rolling to bed at 2.30am that i should have used my time more wisely. That i should have gone to bed around 7pm and slept for a good 1000 14 hours.I would have woke up feeling soo refreshed. But instead i had a grand total of 5 hours sleep.Do i regret it tho the gin and the champers? Hell no!

6. This week i went public.Came out of the bloggers closet as it were.Told people about my blog.Put it on facebook.I know.Shock horror!! This was a huge step for me.Ive been wanting to write a blog for so long, i know its foolish but I've been so concerned about what people thought of me that i didn't do it. It didn't occur to do one and not tell people about it until about a month ago! so i did one and told a tiny select few people (i think people who i knew i felt uber safe with). Then my confidence grew the more blogs i wrote and i knew the next step was to go public. So i did.And my,what a response.Thank you for the blog love people!!

7.Me and the hubster are well into west wing at the moment i think bordering on addiction Tonight were going to watch the last 2 episodes of season 2.I think my favourite character is Donna.Love her.

8.My baby is turning 1 next week.Could someone please tell me where this year has gone?

9.I would like to apologise for my issues with spelling and such like on this blog.I'm a terrible speller so spell check is now my bezzie but i still get a little confused with the whole there their they're thing so please be patient with me.

10.Tomorrow i bake 50 cupcakes, so off i go to write my shopping list..

Ten on Tuesday

1. In my bag of spinach today i found a huge piece of grass, about 25 cm long! My OH tells me this is how i know my spinach is organic.

2.Today i made my first ever proper omelet. And it was lush. Many thanks go to my grandad who practically talked me through the process. Thanks Grandad.

3.Ive come to realise i love scalding hot burns your tongue a bit tea.

4.This morning the boys were playing together, when i say playing i mean Mr 3 was taking everything off the baby that he got hold of.I could tell the baby was getting more annoyed by the second, next thing i knew the baby properly whacked Mr 3 in the eye.and before you ask defiantly on purpose! I know it sounds awful but i had to stifle my laugh. This is a first. I'm made up the baby is sticking up for himself and hopefully it will make Mr 3 think twice about taking the baby's toys but i personally wouldn't have gone about it this way.

5.Everyone is Octonauts mad in this house. And when i say everyone i mean everyone. The baby has a little dance to himself when the music starts. Explore.Rescue.Protect!

6.I'm going to take the opportunity to confess something.I've being eating rich tea fingers for a while now as I'm doing slimmimg world and they are only 1 syn.My favourite the good old chocolate digestive is 5 syns! Shocking i know. But i actually really like rich tea fingers now.In fact i love them.Enjoy dipped in a brew for optimum pleasure.

7.Ive listened to the Glee Christmas album twice today.Deal with it.

8.On my kitchen-diner floor today there has been many many different food groups. And after having his fill of his tea in his high chair the baby flings the rest on the floor, then likes to get on the floor and finish what he started.

9.Today we had brand spanking new friends over for a play date.We were all a bit nervous as it hadn't happened in a while but i need to seriously network us some friends over here so just had to get on with it.The play date went well, another has been arranged and there was no tears.Success!!

10.I am now off to watch Downton Abbey and drink tea.

"Broncy season"

The beginning of 2011 was a tough one for us for various reasons. One of which was both our boys were admitted to Alder hay within a week of each other. Firstly there was Mr 3,on his third birthday to be precise. We're still not quite sure what happened but while we were watching Home Alone and eating party food he went really pale and his little tummy was working really hard to breathe, so off to the walk in center we trot.Only to be sent straight to Alder hay when they'd done his obs, during which he was freaking out so much he peed all down my leg as he sat on my knee(i then had to wear the same jeans for the next 24 hours until we were discharged.Nice) It turns out he had a sort of Asthma attack, bless him.

So we finally arrived on the ward at 3am and he screamed and screamed and screamed and screamed for his daddy and that he wanted to go home.At this point i was crying too for his daddy but a bit more consideratly.

So you can imagine how welcoming the other parents on the ward were to us.I don't blame them.I would be fuming too if it were me woken up at that time to a child who sounded like he was bordering on possessed.Anyway we were sent home with more steroids and he was fine.

His 8 week old brother however wasn't. Over the next few days he developed a really weird cough.Really high pitched. We took him to the doctor various times and were told it was just a virus.
But the coughing continued and he literally stopped eating.

So another trip to the walk in,to be sent straight to Alder hay(which is a bloody fantastic hospital, the nurses are second to none). He was admitted, had a tube put up his nose and into his tummy so he could have some food and oxygen and nebulisers to help him breathe. He wasn't eating because he was working so hard to breathe he couldn't do both : ( don't get me wrong i know it was only Broncillitus but those 6 days we were there was horrible, seeing my little one all hooked up is something no mum wants to see. We basically had to ride it out,as he needed help with eating and breathing until the bronc had passed. And ride it out we did!

The little mite has had bronc 3 times since but not half as bad. So I'm not exactly looking forward to this winter  and "broncy season"but hes going for a flue jab soon so hopefully that will help : )

I never intended to blog about this today i just wanted to share a photo, its too precious to put on face book but somehow it feels ok on here. Its one of my favourite photos of all time and 2 of my favourite people are in it.My baby and my baby sister. Her help was invaluable that hellish week, she looked after Mr 3 all morning while my OH came to the hospital and she would come and sit with me and the little one all afternoon.Everyday for 6 days.No doubt she would have done it for as long as we needed her. I adore her and my kids adore her.

Thankyou Gabs we will never forget it x

1. I find it impossible to make an omelet.Strange but true.i get to the whole flipping it in half thing and i just cant do it,so every time i end up just mixing it together in a scrambled egg kinda way.

2.A postman gave me his day rider bus ticket the other day.I love random acts of kindness like that, makes me think that there is a bit of goodness left in the world.

3.My baby has just gone down for his nap covered in jam and teething powder.Hes teething at the moment and also just dropped his morning nap,.not a good combo. instead of having a little top up of sleep at 9am after waking at 6 ish he now goes to 12 without a sleep but to be honest by 11.30 we are both on our knees.Hes so winy when he's tired and lets not forget the teething malarkey.I have actually never ever ever seen nappies like it.They should be made illegal.Seriously. So when he smeared jam all over his face, followed by ibuprofen followed by teething powder i really wasn't that fussed to be honest so just popped him in bed and I'll deal with the consequences at 2.

i fully intended to have a bigger list today but Ive got serious writers block.Lol.Probably due to teething sleepless nights,so I'm going to go and watch the pride of Britain awards which Ive sky+ and drink tea.

This week baby i promise....

         This week baby i promise....

                          To give you my time,

When your older you wont remember our house being tidy or my hair being nice,
but the times that we spent together and the fun that we had. x

Born this way..

For me family makes the world go round.

We've just moved to be closer to family and i have to say in the words of Roland Mcdonald-I'm loving it. Its the everyday stuff i used to miss. The popping round for a brew,or calling in on their way somewhere.

Don't get me wrong i haven't got rose tinted specks on,i understand that by moving, I'm 62 miles closer to the drama that (surely?!) goes on in every family. But you've got to take the rough with the smooth. And ours is mainly(most of the time) smooth..

We hosted a birthday party for my cousins 13th birthday today,we ate giant Yorkshire pudding, danced to lady gaga and got filled to our eyeballs with cake.It wasn't anything special just my sister, nephew, cousin,us and a few balloons. But i like to think its building memories. And that's got to be a good thing.

P.s couldn't resist sharing this lush photo of my 2.
